“I sent a postcard to the Universe about the book, Directing Your Destiny, to be picked up by Hay House Publishing, which was a pretty bold request because I had not written a single word of the book that had been living in my head. Yet, that written declaration sparked my action to finally stop thinking and talking about writing a book and actually doing it!
I remember after sending it, sitting down and doing some research, I didn’t even know how many words a self-help book needed to be. I quickly found out it needed to be 50,000 words. That very day, I wrote my heart out for one hour straight. I was able to write five hundred words in an hour. Then I did the math, if I wrote for one hour a day, in only four months I would have a 50,000-word manuscript.
Now the trick was, finding the time. With ten private clients, group coaching classes, and an eleven-year-old son to tend to, I didn’t think I could find the time. Yet, I knew I had to create the time. I decided that I would wake up early, write before my son got up, and the workday started from 5:30-6:30am. I was excited for this writing journey to begin…”
